General: Sunrise Beach is located in the largely untouched wilderness of Canada. We see the camp as part of nature and want to take responsibility for it. Please pay attention to the trees, plants, animals and water. Treat everything carefully and respectfully.
Garbage separation: Please ensure that all garbage is separated exactly according to the plan in the logbook so that it does not have to be separated again later by our support team or is rejected or we are fined.
Fire restrictions: Please adhere to the current local fire restrictions. These are set by Nova Scotia and are legally binding. You can check whether there are currently restrictions in the Digby County area at https://nocascotia.ca/burnsafe/. By adhering to the fire restrictions, you protect yourself and nature.
Smoking (tobacco, marijuana, vaporizers, e-cigarettes) is of course not permitted in the caravans. If you smoke outside, please dispose of cigarette butts in the small metal buckets filled with sand that are outside under the campers.
Campers: The caravans require more care and sensitivity than a house, which is more solidly built. Furniture, fittings and showers, for example, last longer if handled carefully. Inform your children about this. Please lock the campers you use and the cabin when you leave the camp for excursions.
Using the toilet: Try to use as little toilet paper as possible. It is also important that you use plenty of water when flushing. These measures will prevent blockages.
Gas: Always make sure that you turn the control all the way to OFF after using the stove so that no more gas can escape.
Whirlpool: Please cover it after each use and do not add any additives to the water (such as soap or similar). Please do not put pets in the tub.
Boats & canoes: Please pull them up high enough on the sandy beach after use so that they cannot be washed away by rising water or waves. When using a boat or canoe, wearing a life jacket is mandatory. These are available in the hut. Please return these to the hut together with the rackets after use.
Ping Pong: Please only use the table tennis table in dry weather and put it back in the hut after use. This way it is protected from rain and wind.
Dogs: Dogs are very welcome. We offer you dog poop bags. Please make sure that all poop is disposed of in them and not left on the premises. Please make sure that the dogs in the caravan do not jump on sofas, beds or seats and sleep on the floor.
Large events are generally not permitted to protect nature.
Please no commercial photography or filming.
Thank you for your help and for observing these house rules.
